• Provides AFCI protection plus the conveniece of a single pole switch to control the lights.
• Used for new circuits or modifications to existing circuits where a switch is the first outlet in a branch circuit.
• Identifies potentially dangerous arcing conditions and responds by interrupting power, stopping an electrical fire before it starts.
• Patented reset/lockout feature prevents reset if the AFCI has been compromised. Regularly conducts an automatic self-test to ensure safety.
• LED indicator provides simple, intuitive feedback on power and protection status.

• Ensure Compatibility — Verify that your electrical circuit is rated for 120V and the breaker is appropriately sized (15A or 20A). Confirm the wiring terminals match your circuit's configuration (e.g., grounded, two-wire).
• Install the Outlet — Turn off power to the circuit at the breaker panel. Connect the wires to the corresponding terminals on the Leviton outlet (line, load, ground) according to electrical codes. Secure the outlet in the junction box.
• Test AFCI and Switch — Restore power to the circuit. Press the 'Test' button on the outlet to ensure the AFCI trips and interrupts power. Then, test the integrated switch to confirm it controls the connected lights or devices.
• Regular Maintenance — Periodically press the 'Test' button (monthly recommended) to verify the AFCI functionality. Observe the LED indicator for normal operation status and check for any signs of damage or wear.
