• Prepare and Measure — Measure your door thickness (1-3/8" to 1-3/4") and confirm the lockset backset (2-3/8" or 2-3/4"). Select the appropriate hole saw size (25mm or 54mm) based on your lockset's specifications. Follow the lock manufacturer's template for exact placement.
• Position the Guide Template — Securely attach the adjustable plastic guide template to the door at the marked lock location. Use the snap-lock arms to select the correct door width and backset, ensuring the template is firmly in place for accurate drilling.
• Drill the Lock and Latch Holes — Using a drill, slowly and steadily drill the main lock hole through the door face using the appropriate hole saw. Then, drill the latch hole on the door edge. Ensure the drill is perpendicular to the door surface for clean holes.
• Install Lockset and Test — Insert the lockset components into the drilled holes and follow the lock manufacturer's instructions for final assembly. Test the lock mechanism to ensure smooth operation before completing the installation.
