• Prepare the Sensitizer Solution — Mix equal parts of Component A and Component B from the Jacquard Cyanotype Sensitizer Set. Stir gently until fully dissolved. This creates the sensitizer solution, ready for application.
• Coat Your Surface — Apply the sensitizer solution evenly to your chosen surface – paper or natural fabric. Ensure complete coverage. Allow it to dry completely in a dark or dimly lit area, away from direct sunlight.
• Expose to Sunlight — Place objects (leaves, flowers, lace) or a photographic negative onto the sensitized surface. Expose it to direct sunlight for approximately 5-15 minutes, depending on UV intensity, until the sensitized area turns pale yellow.
• Develop and Rinse — Remove the objects or negative. Rinse the print under cool running water. The exposed areas will turn a rich Prussian blue, while the covered areas will remain white or light, revealing your detailed print.
