• Prepare the Surface — Clean the surfaces to be bonded thoroughly. Remove all dirt, grease, oil, and loose material. For best results, roughen surfaces slightly with sandpaper or a wire brush.
• Mix the Epoxy — Dispense equal amounts of J-B Weld KwikWeld resin and hardener onto a clean, disposable surface. Mix thoroughly for 1 minute until a uniform dark grey color is achieved.
• Apply and Set — Apply the mixed epoxy to one of the surfaces within 6 minutes of mixing. Press the surfaces together firmly. The bond will set in 6 minutes, allowing for repositioning if needed.
• Cure and Finish — Allow the bonded item to cure for 4-6 hours. Once fully cured, the epoxy can be drilled, tapped, filed, sanded, and painted for a finished repair. Full strength is achieved after 24 hours.
