Elevate Your Espresso: Unlock Unmatched Sweetness & Uniformity
The IMS Big Bang Precision Filter Basket is engineered for superior espresso extraction. Its unique design features 585 holes concentrated towards the center, directing flow for uniform shots and minimizing channeling. This Italian-made stainless steel basket is specifically designed to highlight coffee sweetness and reduce acidity, offering a richer taste profile. It's ideal for 22-24g doses and fits most E61 group head portafilters.
This basket's design promotes a consistent extraction, exalting sweetness and reducing unwanted acidity. While it excels at balancing flavors, it's not recommended for very light, citric coffees as it may overly sweeten them. The flat bottom and ridgeless 70mm border ensure a clean puck and easy removal after brewing.
For Indian coffee enthusiasts seeking an elevated espresso experience, this precision filter offers a distinct advantage over standard baskets. Enjoy the benefits of uniform extraction and enhanced sweetness, delivered directly to your doorstep with all customs duties and GST included. Get yours today and taste the difference.
Unlock Deeper Coffee Flavors
The IMS Big Bang filter is a game-changer for espresso lovers. Its innovative design, with holes concentrated centrally, ensures a perfectly uniform extraction. This precision directs the flow to highlight the natural sweetness of your coffee beans, reducing bitterness and acidity for a remarkably smooth cup. Unlike standard baskets that can lead to uneven extraction, the Big Bang promotes consistency, making every shot taste richer and more balanced. Experience the difference that precision engineering makes in your daily espresso ritual.
Ideal for Sweet-Seeking Baristas, Skip if You Prefer Brightness
This filter is perfect for those who love a sweet, full-bodied espresso and want to minimize acidity. It's excellent for medium to dark roasts. However, if your preference is for bright, highly acidic, or very light, citric coffees, this basket might overly sweeten them, masking their natural characteristics. For those seeking to preserve the bright, fruity notes of light roasts, a different filter type might be more suitable.

A home barista in Bangalore wants to consistently brew sweet, low-acidity espresso for their morning latte.
Using the IMS Big Bang filter with a 22-24g dose ensures uniform extraction that highlights sweetness. This precision minimizes bitterness, creating a smooth, balanced espresso base that perfectly complements milk, unlike standard filters that might yield inconsistent or overly acidic shots.
A coffee shop owner in Mumbai seeks to improve espresso quality and reduce channeling for a smoother customer experience.
The Big Bang filter's directed flow and precise hole distribution prevent channeling, ensuring even extraction. This leads to a more consistent, sweeter espresso profile, reducing the need for constant adjustments and improving overall drink quality for patrons.
| Feature | IMS Big Bang | Others |
|---|---|---|
| Extraction Uniformity | Uniform extraction with directed flow, avoids channeling. | Standard filters may have less precise hole distribution, leading to uneven extraction and channeling. |
| Flavor Profile Emphasis | Enhances coffee sweetness, reduces acidity. | Standard filters may not specifically emphasize sweetness, potentially resulting in a more neutral or acidic profile. |
| Material & Durability | High-quality Italian Stainless Steel, built for longevity. | Local alternatives may use lower-grade steel or nylon, with shorter lifespans and potential for degradation. |
| Dosing Capacity | Precise 22-24g capacity for double espresso. | Standard filters often have less defined capacity ranges, requiring more guesswork for optimal dosing. |
| Cost per Use | Durable, long-lasting accessory with negligible cost per use over its lifespan. | Varies by brand; some may require more frequent replacement due to material quality. |
