Elevate Your Espresso with Unmatched Sweetness
The IMS Big Bang Precision Filter Basket (h25.5) is an innovative component for 58mm portafilters, designed to brew 20-22g of coffee. Its unique hole pattern directs espresso flow centrally, promoting uniform extraction and highlighting the natural sweetness of your coffee while minimizing acidity. This ridgeless, flat-bottomed basket is a precision tool for baristas seeking superior espresso quality.
This basket's design emphasizes sweetness and uniform extraction, avoiding channeling for a cleaner shot. It's particularly effective for medium to dark roasts, exalting their inherent sweetness. While it modifies coffee characteristics, it's not recommended for very light, citric coffees where preserving original acidity is key.
Imported directly from authorized US retailers, this IMS filter basket offers a distinct advantage over generic local alternatives. Experience enhanced espresso flavour profiles and consistent results. All customs duties and GST are included in the listed price. Delivery is via ExpressBox tracked service.
Unlock Deeper Coffee Sweetness
This IMS Big Bang filter basket is engineered to transform your espresso. Its innovative design focuses on centralizing flow, which baristas have found exalts the natural sweetness of coffee beans. This means your espresso shots will have a richer, smoother taste profile, with less of the sharp acidity that can sometimes dominate. It's a subtle yet significant upgrade for anyone serious about their coffee, turning everyday brews into a delightful experience.
Ideal for Medium-Dark Roasts, Skip for Light
This basket excels with medium to dark roast coffees, enhancing their inherent sweetness. However, if you primarily use very light, citric coffees and want to preserve their original bright characteristics, this filter might modify them too much. It's best suited for those who enjoy a sweeter, less acidic espresso profile. For espresso machines, ensure compatibility with 58mm portafilters and E61 group heads.
