Unlock Deeper Espresso Sweetness
The verybarista IMS Big Bang Precision Filter Basket (h21.5) is an innovation for 58mm portafilters, designed to elevate your espresso. Its unique hole pattern, with more holes concentrated towards the center, directs flow for uniform extraction, emphasizing coffee sweetness and minimizing acidity. This ridgeless, flat-bottomed basket is ideal for bottomless portafilters and crafted from durable stainless steel in Italy.
This filter basket is engineered to make extraction uniform and avoid channeling, ensuring a consistent shot every time. The BIG BANG design specifically highlights the inherent sweetness of the coffee beans, offering a balanced flavour profile that reduces harsh acidity. It is best suited for medium to dark roasts, as it can sweeten espresso to a degree that might alter the characteristics of very light, citric coffees.
For Indian coffee enthusiasts seeking superior espresso, this IMS basket offers a distinct advantage over standard filters. It fits most E61 group head portafilters, ensuring broad compatibility. Imported directly and delivered via ExpressBox, all customs duties and GST are included in the price. Enjoy authentic Italian craftsmanship for your daily brew.
Italian Precision for Superior Espresso
IMS, a leader in coffee brewing technology, designed the Big Bang filter basket for discerning baristas. Its innovative hole pattern and central flow direction are key to achieving exceptional sweetness and balance in your espresso. Unlike standard baskets that can lead to uneven extraction, the Big Bang promotes uniformity, reducing channeling and bitterness. This precision engineering, originating from Italy, ensures that the natural sweetness of your coffee is amplified, offering a richer, more complex flavour profile that standard filters often miss. It's an investment in elevating your daily coffee ritual with authentic, high-performance brewing gear.
Ideal for Medium-Dark Roasts, Not Light Citric Coffees
This filter basket is best suited for medium to dark roast coffees where its sweetening effect enhances flavour complexity. If you primarily brew very light, acidic, or citric coffees, the Big Bang's sweetness enhancement might alter their intended delicate characteristics. For those who prefer brighter, more acidic profiles, a different basket might be more suitable. It is designed for 58mm portafilters and fits most E61 group heads, offering compatibility for many home and professional espresso machines.
