How do I ensure an airtight seal with push-in pneumatic fittings?

Use a dedicated tube cutter to make a square, 90-degree cut on the outer edge. Ensure the outside diameter (OD) matches the fitting specification and push firmly until the tube seats fully past the internal O-ring. This Hooshing silicone tubing's 10mm OD is designed for compatibility with standard fittings.

Can this tubing be used for drinking water or food contact?

Yes, this Hooshing silicone tubing is certified food-grade and BPA-free, making it safe for drinking water, home brewing, and food handling applications. Its non-toxic composition ensures purity for all beverage and food transfer needs.

What is the best hardware tubing for Indian conditions?

For India's varied climate, food-grade silicone tubing like this Hooshing model is excellent. It withstands extreme temperatures (-50°C to 200°C) and resists degradation from UV exposure, unlike many local plastic or rubber alternatives. Its flexibility ensures easy installation in humid or hot environments.

How to choose hardware tubing ID and OD?

The Inner Diameter (ID) determines flow rate, while the Outer Diameter (OD) determines fitting compatibility. This Hooshing tubing has a 7mm ID for flow and a 10mm OD that must match your fitting's required OD for a secure connection. Always check your fitting's specifications.

Is Hooshing silicone tubing healthy and safe?

Yes, Hooshing silicone tubing is made from food-grade, BPA-free silicone rubber, making it non-toxic and environmentally protective. It's designed for safe use in food, beverage, and medical-adjacent applications, ensuring no harmful substances leach into fluids.

How to use hardware tubing for home brewing?

Use this 7mm ID x 10mm OD silicone tubing to connect fermenters, kegs, or pumps. Ensure fittings are secure and the tubing is clean. Its flexibility and food-grade material are ideal for transferring beer and wort without affecting taste. Clean thoroughly after each use.

What are the benefits of silicone tubing over PVC pipe?

Silicone tubing offers superior flexibility, a wider temperature range (-50°C to 200°C vs. PVC's typical 0°C to 60°C), and better resistance to chemicals and UV. It's also BPA-free and food-grade, unlike most PVC pipes, making it safer for potable water and food transfer.

Why choose this product

Engineered for Purity and Performance

Hooshing silicone tubing is crafted from premium, food-grade silicone rubber, ensuring it's BPA-free and non-toxic for safe use with beverages and food. Its exceptional flexibility and durability, combined with resistance to extreme temperatures (-50°C to 200°C) and chemicals, make it superior to standard PVC or rubber hoses. The smooth interior surface guarantees easy flow and effortless cleaning, preventing contamination and maintaining hygiene. This tubing is UV resistant and built to last, offering a reliable, environmentally friendly solution for both industrial and home applications where purity and performance are paramount.

Ideal for Indian Applications vs. Local Options

This tubing is perfect for home brewers, aquarium enthusiasts, and small-scale food processors in India. Its wide temperature range handles India's climate extremes, from hot kitchens to cooler storage. While local tubing might offer basic fluid transfer, Hooshing provides certified food-grade safety and superior chemical resistance. Skip if you need high-pressure industrial lines; this is for low-pressure applications. For simple water drainage, cheaper alternatives exist, but not with this level of purity and temperature resilience.

How to use

Measure and Cut — Measure the required length of tubing. Use a sharp knife or tubing cutter to make a clean, straight cut at a 90-degree angle to ensure a proper seal with fittings.
Connect to Fittings — Firmly insert the tubing end into the appropriate fitting (e.g., push-to-connect, barb). Ensure the OD matches the fitting's specification and push until it seats securely past any internal O-rings.
Test for Leaks — If transferring liquids or air, apply slight pressure or fill the line. Check all connection points for any signs of leakage. The silicone's flexibility helps create a tight seal with compatible fittings.
Clean and Maintain — After use, flush the tubing with appropriate cleaning solutions. The smooth inner surface facilitates easy cleaning. Store coiled loosely away from direct sunlight and extreme heat or cold.
