How do I ensure an airtight seal with push-in pneumatic fittings?

Use a dedicated tube cutter to make a square, 90-degree cut on the outer edge. Ensure the outside diameter (OD) of this 2mm tubing matches the fitting specification and push firmly until the tube seats fully past the internal O-ring for an airtight seal.

Can this Hooshing silicone tubing be used for drinking water or food contact?

Yes, this Hooshing silicone tubing is made from food-grade silicone rubber, BPA-free, and non-toxic, making it safe for drinking water, beverage transfer, and food handling applications.

What is the maximum pressure this silicone tubing can handle?

This Hooshing silicone tubing is designed for general low-pressure industrial applications. It is not rated for high-pressure systems and should not be used for applications exceeding approximately 25 PSI.

How do I choose the right size hardware tubing for my needs?

Consider the inner diameter (ID) for flow rate and the outer diameter (OD) for fitting compatibility. This Hooshing tubing has a 1mm ID and 2mm OD, suitable for small pumps, air lines, and specific connectors.

What are the benefits of using silicone tubing over plastic or rubber alternatives?

Silicone tubing offers superior flexibility, higher temperature resistance (-50°C to 200°C), and better chemical resistance compared to many plastic or standard rubber hoses. It is also BPA-free and non-toxic, making it safer for food and beverage use.

How to use Hooshing silicone tubing for homebrewing?

Cut the tubing to your desired length using a sharp cutter for a clean edge. Connect it to your kegerator, pump, or filter system. Its flexibility and food-grade material make it ideal for transferring beer, wort, or cleaning solutions.

Is this silicone tubing UV resistant and suitable for outdoor use?

Yes, this Hooshing silicone tubing is UV resistant and does not deteriorate outdoors, making it suitable for outdoor applications like irrigation or aquarium setups, though prolonged direct sunlight exposure should be minimized for longevity.

Why choose this product

Superior Formulation for Indian Conditions

This Hooshing silicone tubing is crafted from high-quality, food-grade silicone rubber, offering superior flexibility and durability compared to many local plastic or standard rubber hoses. Its resistance to extreme temperatures (-50°C to 200°C) ensures consistent performance in India's varied climate, from hot workshops to cool storage. The BPA-free and non-toxic composition makes it a healthier choice for beverage and food transfer, unlike some PVC alternatives that may leach chemicals. Sourced directly from authorized US channels, it guarantees authenticity and a higher standard of material integrity for your critical fluid handling needs.

Ideal for Homebrewers & Industrial Use, Skip if High Pressure Needed

This tubing is perfect for homebrewers, aquarium enthusiasts, and small-scale food processing, offering safe, flexible, and easy-to-clean fluid transfer. Its 1mm ID x 2mm OD size is excellent for peristaltic pumps, air lines, and siphoning. However, it is designed for low-pressure applications only. If your project requires high-pressure pneumatic lines, hydraulic systems, or industrial fluid transfer exceeding 25 PSI, consider a reinforced or specialized industrial-grade hose with higher pressure ratings.

How to use

Measure and Cut Tubing — Unroll the 20 ft (6.1m) Hooshing silicone tubing. Measure the required length for your application and use a sharp cutter to make a clean, straight 90-degree cut for optimal fitting connection.
Connect to Fittings — Gently insert the cut end of the tubing (1mm ID x 2mm OD) into your desired fitting, such as a push-to-connect pneumatic connector, barb fitting, or pump inlet/outlet. Push firmly until it seats securely past any internal seals.
Test for Leaks — If using for fluid transfer or air lines, apply gentle pressure or flow to test the connection. Ensure there are no leaks at the fitting point. The flexible silicone should create a snug seal with compatible connectors.
