How do I ensure a secure waterproof connection with this Helunsi junction box in India?

Ensure all cable glands are tightened securely around the cables, and the junction box cover is firmly screwed shut with the silicone gasket properly seated. For outdoor use in India, verify the cable diameter fits snugly within the provided silicone seals to maintain the IP68 rating against rain and humidity.

What is the difference between a metal and a PVC electrical junction box?

Metal boxes offer high mechanical strength and are often used for grounded metal-conduit systems, while PVC/plastic boxes are non-conductive, corrosion-resistant and simpler for concealed or damp-area wiring. Choose based on your conduit type and installation environment.

How do I pick the right size electrical box?

Match the box to the number of conductors, switches or outlets it must contain and select adequate internal volume so wires fit without crowding. For multiple devices choose the matching gang count, and for ceiling fixtures use a fan-rated box.

Can I use this Helunsi junction box for solar power connections in India?

Yes, this IP68 waterproof junction box is suitable for solar equipment connections, offering protection against outdoor elements. Ensure the voltage and current ratings (450V, 24A) are compatible with your specific solar setup and that the cable size fits the gland seals.

Why choose this product

Engineered for Indian Outdoor Conditions

This Helunsi junction box is built to withstand the challenges of India's diverse climate. Its IP68 rating means it's fully protected against dust and can handle submersion in water, making it ideal for monsoon-prone regions or areas with high humidity. Unlike basic local boxes, it offers superior UV resistance and temperature tolerance, ensuring long-term reliability for outdoor lighting, irrigation, and solar installations. The robust PC plastic housing and secure silicone gasket prevent moisture ingress and corrosion, safeguarding your electrical connections effectively.

Who It's For vs. Who Should Skip It

Ideal for homeowners, electricians, and DIY enthusiasts needing to create safe, waterproof electrical connections for outdoor appliances, garden lighting, solar panels, or irrigation systems. It's perfect for those requiring a reliable, durable, and easy-to-install solution that meets international standards. Skip if you need a box specifically designed for US modular switch plates or require conduit fittings with metric threads only, as this box uses standard cable glands that may require adapters for specific Indian conduit types.

How to use

Prepare Cables — Select the appropriate silicone seal for your cable diameter (5-15mm). Strip the ends of the wires you need to connect, ensuring they are clean and ready for insertion into the junction box.
Insert and Connect Wires — Pass the cables through the appropriate cable glands on the junction box. Connect the wires inside the box using the provided screw terminal connectors, ensuring a secure electrical connection.
Seal the Box — Tighten the cable gland nuts firmly to seal the cables. Close the junction box cover and secure it by tightening the exterior screws. This ensures the IP68 waterproof seal.
