Master Light & Reflections with One Filter
The Haida 72mm PRO II 2-in-1 filter is an essential accessory for photographers seeking creative control. This filter seamlessly integrates a circular polarizer with a variable neutral density (VND) filter, allowing you to adjust light reduction from 3 to 7 stops. It's imported from authorized US retailers and brand partners, ensuring authenticity with all customs duties and GST pre-paid. This means you receive a genuine, high-quality filter without any unexpected charges upon delivery.
Constructed with optical glass, the filter ensures excellent clarity and colour fidelity. The multi-coating and nano-coating work together to minimize internal ghosting and reflections, while the nano-coating provides an additional layer for easy cleaning. The circular polarizer helps to clear haze, deepen blue skies, and enhance colour saturation, especially when used at a 90° angle to the sun. The adjustable VND component allows for creative effects like motion blur in long exposures, even in bright daylight.
Verify your camera's lens thread size before ordering; this filter is 72mm. For modern digital cameras and autofocus lenses, the circular polarizer is ideal. This filter is designed to deliver professional results, enhancing your landscape and portrait photography. All duties and GST are included in the price, with tracked delivery via ExpressBox.
Professional Image Control for Indian Light
Capture stunning images in India's varied light conditions with the Haida 72mm PRO II 2-in-1 filter. Its adjustable 3-7 stop VND capability allows for creative long exposures, turning flowing water into silk or clouds into streaks, even under bright midday sun. The integrated circular polarizer cuts through haze, deepens vibrant blue skies, and reduces distracting reflections from water or glass, making your landscapes pop. Constructed with high-quality optical glass and advanced multi-coating plus nano-coating, it ensures exceptional clarity and colour accuracy, minimizing ghosting and flare. This filter is imported directly from authorized US retailers and brand partners, guaranteeing authenticity and including all customs duties and GST, so you receive a premium tool without any hidden costs.
Who It's For vs. Who Should Consider Alternatives
This filter is perfect for landscape photographers, travel enthusiasts, and videographers in India who need versatile control over light and reflections. It's ideal for those using modern DSLR or mirrorless cameras with autofocus lenses and a 72mm lens thread. If you frequently shoot in bright daylight and want to achieve creative motion blur or enhance colours, this 2-in-1 solution simplifies your kit. However, if your camera lens has a different thread size (e.g., 58mm or 77mm), you will need a step-up or step-down adapter ring. Photographers who only need a fixed ND filter or a standalone CPL might find single-purpose filters more cost-effective, though this integrated unit offers significant convenience.
Typical situations where Haida 72mm PRO II 2-in-1 CPL + VND Filter (3-7 Stops) | Multi-Coated Nano-Coating Polarizer & Variable ND helps — illustrative scenarios, not customer reviews.
A photographer in Goa wants to capture smooth water movement on a bright beach during the day.
Using the Haida 72mm PRO II filter, they can set the VND to 7 stops (ND128) to significantly reduce light. Combined with a longer shutter speed, this creates a silky water effect. The CPL component also cuts glare from the water's surface, revealing details beneath.
A travel vlogger in Rajasthan needs to film outdoors under harsh sunlight without overexposing the footage.
The adjustable VND allows the vlogger to dial in the exact amount of light reduction needed, ensuring proper exposure for video. The CPL helps reduce reflections from windows or shiny surfaces in the scene, and the nano-coating ensures the filter stays clean from dust and fingerprints for clear shots.
| Application | Attach to camera lens with 72mm front thread. Rotate outer ring to adjust ND effect and CPL polarization. |
| Recommended Use | Landscape photography, videography, reducing glare, controlling exposure, creating motion blur. |
| Light Loss | Approximately 1-2 stops inherent to CPL function, plus 3-7 stops from VND adjustment. |
| Cost per use | 72mm filter at 1 filter/camera = 1 filter: ₹16,362 per filter |
| Shelf life after opening | 12 months (for optical accessories) |
| Reapplication math | N/A (filter is a permanent attachment) |
| Contraindications | Lens thread size must be exactly 72mm. May cause vignetting on very wide-angle lenses if frame is too thick. CPL effect varies with sun angle. |
| Allergens / common irritants | Aluminum (frame) |

| Filter Type | 2-in-1 CPL + Variable ND (3-7 Stops) | Often single-function CPL or fixed ND filters; variable NDs may have lower quality coatings or colour cast. |
| Optical Quality & Coatings | Optical glass with multi-coating and nano-coating for clarity, reflection reduction, and easy cleaning. | Varies widely; some local filters use resin or lower-grade glass with basic coatings, leading to potential colour shifts or flare. |
| Adjustability | Variable ND allows precise light control (3-7 stops) by rotating the filter ring. | Fixed ND filters offer specific stop values (e.g., ND8, ND64). Achieving variable control may require multiple filters or a separate VND unit. |
| Cost per Use | 72mm filter — ₹16,362 per filter | Local 72mm CPL filters range from ₹2,000-₹6,000; fixed NDs ₹1,500-₹4,000; VNDs ₹4,000-₹10,000+ depending on brand and quality. |
| Glare & Reflection Control | Integrated CPL effectively reduces reflections from water, glass, and enhances sky saturation. | Standalone CPL filters offer this, but require an additional filter for ND effects. Lower-quality CPLs may introduce colour casts. |
