• Prepare the Surface — Carefully remove the heatsink and any old thermal pad or paste from the component and heatsink. Clean both surfaces thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol (IPA) to remove any residue and ensure a clean, dry surface for optimal adhesion.
• Cut and Apply the Pad — Cut the Gelid GP-Extreme thermal pad to the exact size required for the component (e.g., VRAM chips, VRMs). Ensure it covers the entire surface area that will contact the heatsink. Peel off the protective film from one side of the pad.
• Position and Reassemble — Carefully place the pad onto the component or heatsink, ensuring it lies flat and makes full contact. Peel off the second protective film. Reinstall the heatsink, applying even pressure to secure the pad and ensure proper thermal transfer.
