• Prepare for Filter Replacement — Turn off the water supply to the refrigerator. Place a towel or shallow pan under the filter housing to catch any residual water drips during removal.
• Remove the Old Filter — Locate the filter housing. Twist the old filter to the left (counter-clockwise) to unlock it, then gently pull it downward to remove it.
• Install the New GE MWF Filter — Remove the protective cap from the new GE MWF filter. Align it with the housing, push it upward, and twist it to the right until it locks securely into place.
• Flush and Reset Indicator — Turn the water supply back on. Dispense about 2-3 gallons of water to flush the system. Reset your refrigerator's filter indicator light according to your model's instructions.
