Unlock Vintage Lens Potential on Nikon F Cameras
Fotodiox M42 Type 1 Lens to Nikon F-Mount Camera Adapter allows you to use M42 screw mount lenses on Nikon F-mount DSLR cameras. This adapter is designed for manual focus and aperture control, enabling you to adapt vintage glass for creative photography. It is imported from authorized US retailers and authorized brand partners, ensuring authenticity.
Crafted with high-tolerance precision, this adapter features an all-metal, hardened anodized aluminum construction for durability and a secure fit. It facilitates manual aperture control and allows for closer focusing than the lens's native minimum focus distance. However, please note that autofocus, automatic exposure metering, and image stabilization will not function. Set your camera to Manual or Aperture Priority mode for metering. Ensure 'shoot without lens' is enabled in camera settings if the camera does not release.
Due to the Nikon F-mount's longer focal flange compared to the M42 mount, infinity focus is not achievable with this adapter. Lens orientation may vary. This premium adapter is backed by a 24-Month Fotodiox Warranty. All customs duties and GST are included in the price, with delivery via ExpressBox.
Unlock Creative Potential with Vintage Glass
Revive your collection of M42 lenses by mounting them onto your modern Nikon F-mount camera. This adapter provides a robust, all-metal solution for manual focus photography, allowing for unique creative control. While it disables autofocus and automatic exposure, it enables manual aperture adjustments and closer focusing. This imported adapter is ideal for photographers seeking distinct optical characteristics and a hands-on shooting experience, all with pre-paid customs duties and GST for a transparent landed cost.
Who Should Buy vs. Who Should Skip
This adapter is perfect for photographers who own M42 lenses and want to use them on Nikon F-mount cameras, especially for macro or close-up shots where infinity focus is not required. It's also suitable for those who prefer manual control and vintage lens aesthetics. Skip this adapter if you need autofocus, automatic exposure metering, image stabilization, or infinity focus capabilities on your Nikon F camera. For those specific needs, consider native Nikon F-mount lenses or compatible electronic adapters.
