How do I upgrade my old stereo system with the FiiO BR13 Bluetooth Receiver?

Connect the FiiO BR13 to your existing stereo receiver using its USB, optical, coaxial, or RCA inputs. Then, pair your smartphone, tablet, or PC via Bluetooth 5.1. You can then stream high-definition music wirelessly, enjoying LDAC or aptX audio quality through your old speakers.

What is LDAC Hi-Res Audio and why is it important for this receiver?

LDAC is an audio codec developed by Sony that allows high-resolution audio to be transmitted wirelessly over Bluetooth at up to 990 kbps, which is nearly three times the data rate of standard codecs like SBC. This means you can experience sound quality comparable to CD-level audio, preserving more detail and nuance from your music.

Can I use the FiiO BR13 with my TV or PC for better sound?

Yes, the FiiO BR13 is designed for versatile use. You can connect it to your PC via USB or optical input for enhanced audio output, or to your TV using optical or coaxial connections. This allows you to stream audio from your devices wirelessly to your stereo system, improving your overall listening experience for movies, music, and games.

What are the benefits of the FiiO Control app and EQ options?

The FiiO Control app provides advanced features like screen protection, sound adjustment, and OTA firmware upgrades for the BR13. It also allows you to access 7 preset EQ options and create 2 custom EQs, enabling you to tailor the audio output to your specific music genres or personal preferences for a truly personalized listening experience.

Is the FiiO BR13 Bluetooth receiver compatible with all devices?

The FiiO BR13 supports Bluetooth 5.1 and a wide range of codecs including LDAC, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX LL, AAC, and SBC. It is compatible with most modern smartphones, tablets, PCs, and TVs that support Bluetooth audio streaming. For optimal audio quality, ensure your source device also supports higher-fidelity codecs like LDAC or aptX.

Does the FiiO BR13 support both transmitting and receiving Bluetooth signals?

No, the FiiO BR13 is exclusively a Bluetooth receiver. It is designed to receive audio signals from a source device (like a smartphone or PC) and transmit them to your existing speaker system or stereo receiver. It does not function as a Bluetooth transmitter.

How does the SPDIF conversion function work on the BR13?

The BR13 can convert coaxial and optical signals to each other, and also supports a bypass function. This means you can input audio via coaxial or optical and output it through the RCA analog interface, or convert between digital formats for maximum compatibility with your audio setup.
