Elevate Your Bongo Sound with USA Precision
The Evans Tri-Center Bongo Head, 8-5/8 Inch (21.9 cm), is engineered in the USA for superior bongo performance. It features a unique Tri-Center dot that effectively minimizes unwanted overtones while adding weight to the center, significantly enhancing the fundamental tone. This design results in clean, precise pitches that respond well to the player's touch.
This drumhead produces a bright, penetrating slap tone complemented by a full, round low-end. The etched texture on the surface simulates the feel and response of natural animal skin heads, but without the inherent problems of natural skin, such as susceptibility to humidity changes and tuning instability. This makes it a reliable choice for drummers in diverse Indian climates.

Precision Sound Engineering for Bongos
The Evans Tri-Center Bongo Head is built for drummers demanding sonic clarity and control. Its innovative Tri-Center dot technology is specifically designed to manage overtones, a common issue with bongos, and reinforce the fundamental pitch. This results in a cleaner, more focused sound that is easier to tune and record. The etched surface provides a feel similar to natural skin but with superior stability, making it ideal for musicians who need consistent performance regardless of environmental conditions. Imported directly from authorized US retailers, this head offers a professional upgrade.
Ideal for Indian Drummers vs. Local Alternatives
This head is perfect for Indian percussionists seeking a bright, controlled bongo sound that remains stable in humid climates. While local alternatives may offer basic functionality, they often lack the advanced overtone control and consistent pitch offered by Evans' Tri-Center technology. If you require a reliable, high-performance head that withstands environmental changes and delivers professional sonic clarity, this USA-engineered option is superior. Avoid heads with poor overtone management or those prone to tuning issues in varying humidity.
