• Remove Old Strings — Carefully detune and remove the old strings from your acoustic guitar. Clean the fretboard and bridge area to ensure a fresh start for the new strings.
• Install New Strings — Thread the new D'Addario EJ14 strings through the bridge pins or tailpiece. Wind each string onto its corresponding tuning post, ensuring the correct string is on the correct post (e.g., low E on the lowest post).
• Tune and Stretch — Tune the guitar to standard pitch. Gently stretch each new string by pulling it lightly away from the fretboard and retuning. Repeat this process until the strings hold their tuning reliably.
• Play and Adjust — Play your guitar to settle the strings. You may need to retune several times over the first few hours as the strings stretch. Enjoy the bright, bold sound of your new D'Addario EJ14 strings.
