• TIGHT, BRIGHT TONE – Nickel-plated steel wrap wire provides a bright, tight bass sound, great for a variety of musical genres.
• FOR THE ULTIMATE PERFORMANCE – Like all D’Addario bass strings, XL Nickel are made with our proprietary Hex-Core, ensuring perfect intonation, consistent feel, and powerful durability.
• EARN REWARD POINTS - XL Nickel bass sets have a code on the recyclable VCI bag, which you can register to earn Players Circle points.
• MADE IN THE USA – XL Nickel bass guitar strings are made in the USA—drawn to our exacting specifications at our New York production facility.

• Remove Old Strings — Carefully remove the old bass strings one by one from the tuning posts and bridge. Avoid removing all strings at once, as this can cause the neck tension to shift.
• Install New Strings — Thread the new D'Addario XL Nickel strings through the bridge. For the thicker strings, ensure they are properly seated at the bridge before winding them onto the tuning posts.
• Tune and Stretch — Tune the strings to pitch. As you tune, gently stretch each string by pulling it away from the fretboard to help them settle and maintain tuning stability faster.
• Re-tune and Play — Re-tune the strings as they stretch. Play the instrument to allow the strings to settle fully. Minor adjustments may be needed over the first few hours of playing.
