• Prepare for Installation — Carefully open the sealed pouch to access the D'Addario Kaplan Amo E string. Ensure your 4/4 violin is stable and accessible. Avoid touching the string with bare hands to prevent oils from affecting its tone and longevity.
• Attach and Tune — Thread the string through the tailpiece and secure it at the peg. Gently wind the string onto the tuning peg, applying even tension. Tune to the correct pitch for an E string, being mindful of the heavy tension.
• Stretch and Re-tune — Once attached, gently stretch the string downwards a few times to help it settle. Re-tune to the correct pitch. Repeat this process until the string holds its tuning consistently, which should be relatively quick due to its short break-in time.
