• Prepare Your Banjo — Ensure your banjo is a 5-string model. Gently remove the old strings, noting their order and attachment points. Clean the fretboard and bridge area if needed.
• Install New Strings — Thread the loop end of each new D'Addario EJS57 string through the bridge. Wind the other end around the corresponding tuning peg, securing it with a few wraps for stable tuning.
• Tune and Stretch — Tune each string to its correct pitch (standard GCEA for 5-string). Gently stretch each string by pulling it lightly away from the fretboard, then retune. Repeat this process until the strings hold their tune.
