Who Should Use This Gripper vs. Who Should Consider Alternatives
This No. 3 Captains of Crush gripper is ideal for advanced athletes, grip strength specialists, competitive climbers, martial artists, and anyone aiming for elite hand and forearm power. If you can already comfortably close grippers with 150-200 lb resistance, this 280 lb model offers a challenging next step. Beginners or those recovering from hand injuries should start with lighter models (e.g., No. 1 or No. 2) to avoid strain and build foundational strength safely. For lighter training needs, consider adjustable grip trainers that offer a wider resistance range.
