Extend IR Control Range for Less
Cable Matters Infrared Remote Extender Cable is a 15ft IR repeater kit designed to extend the IR control range for home entertainment devices. It allows you to operate components like Blu-ray players, cable set-top boxes, soundbars, and AV receivers that are hidden away, without the need for direct line of sight.
The kit features an IR receiver that you place within view of your remote, which relays commands through a cable to a small IR transmitter attached directly to your device's sensor. This setup ensures seamless control even from across the room or behind furniture. The IR receiver includes a blue LED indicator to verify signal transmission, and the cables include adhesive backing for secure mounting.
Powered via a 6-foot USB Y-cable, simply connect to a 5V USB wall charger for reliable operation. The extender supports up to 15 feet IR signal range, with optimal placement away from interference sources like Wi-Fi routers or CFL bulbs. Compatible with most IR-enabled AV equipment, it offers a flexible, easy-to-install solution for modern home theaters, with no RF compatibility.
Support for Hidden Devices
This IR extender kit enables control of devices concealed in cabinets or closets, eliminating the need for direct line-of-sight operation. Its 15ft range and USB power make it a reliable, easy-to-install solution for modern home theaters, ensuring seamless remote control from anywhere in the room.
