Blackwing Point Guard (Gold) | Aluminum Pencil Tip Protector for Artists & Writers

• TOOLS WITH HERITAGE – First created in the 1930’s, the Blackwing 602 pencil built a cult following that included John Steinbeck and Chuck Jones, who proudly used Blackwing pencils to create Bugs Bunny and many other Looney Tunes characters. Discontinued in the 1990’s, we revived the Blackwing brand in 2010 for a new generation of writers, musicians, and others seeking a more natural existence.
• PROTECT YOUR PENCIL – The Blackwing Point Guard is a pencil cover designed to ensure your Blackwing pencil gets to wherever you’re going in one piece. This pencil guard has a semi-hexagonal shape that fits snugly over your Blackwing pencil point. With these pencil toppers, you won’t have to re-sharpen dull pencil tips every time they’re transported.
• LIGHTWEIGHT ALUMINUM – Blackwing’s pencil caps are crafted out of lightweight, machined aluminum. That makes these pencil covers strong enough to protect the tips of your pencils, without adding too much weight to your bag, pocket, or pencil roll. These durable aluminum pencil toppers are perfect for artists who want to spend less time sharpening dull pencils.
• AVAILABLE IN THREE COLORS – The Blackwing Point Guard is available in a variety of colors. Choose from matte black, bright gold, bright silver, or a set of all three colors. Each of these classic finishes features a Blackwing “B” logo etched on the end of the pencil tip cover.
• HOW WE GIVE BACK – A portion of the sales from all Blackwing products benefit the Blackwing Foundation, which funds and develops arts and music education at the K-12 level. Your purchase helps provide, among other things, the instruction, learning environment, and instruments children need to participate in the Little Kids’ Rock Modern Band Program.

• Slip on the Point Guard — Gently slide the aluminum cap over your Blackwing pencil tip, ensuring a snug fit. Reuse as needed, and remove when sharpening or storing.
• Transport Safely — Place your protected pencil in a bag, pocket, or pencil roll. The aluminum cap shields the tip from impacts and accidental drops during daily use.
• Maintain & Reuse — Easily slip the Point Guard off for sharpening or storage. Clean with a soft cloth if needed. Reusable for long-term protection.
