• Scoop paydirt and water into the SE 10" Gold Pan, ensuring it's about two-thirds full. Submerge the pan slightly to allow material to settle. — Fill the Pan
• Gently shake the pan side-to-side and in a circular motion. This allows heavier gold to sink to the bottom while lighter materials remain on top. — Shake and Sift
• Tilt the pan slightly and carefully wash away the lighter sand and sediment, using the riffles to help trap the heavier gold and black sand at the bottom. — Wash Away Lighter Material
• Continue washing until only gold and black sand remain. Use a snuffer bottle or your finger to carefully collect the trapped gold flakes. — Separate Gold
