Audubon Red Bird Call | Hand-Tuned Birchwood & Zinc Metal

• Authentic American Craftsmanship: The original Audubon bird call, recognized by multiple generations of birders and outdoors people, has been made and tuned by hand in the USA in the same way for over 78 years
• Versatile Sound Production: The bird call's sound is produced by rotating the wooden cylinder against the cast zinc plug, and various bird sounds can be accurately imitated by varying the pressure between the two surfaces while twisting back and forth
• Effective Bird Attraction Method: Originally conceived by songbird hunters in Europe, the bird call attracts birds by creating the illusion that other birds are in the area
• Maintenance and Care Instructions: Be sure to keep the instrument dry; a small amount of the included powdered rosin, used occasionally, will renew the bird call's voice
• Compact and Portable Design: Total length approximately 2.5 inches by 0.75 inches wide, making it easy to carry on any outdoor adventure
• Quality Materials and Construction: Handcrafted from birchwood and cast zinc metal, each bird call is individually tuned to ensure authentic bird sound reproduction
• Available in Red Color: This version of the classic Audubon bird call comes in an attractive red finish for easy visibility and identification

• Prepare the Bird Call — Ensure the bird call is dry. If the sound is less clear, take a small amount of the included powdered rosin and apply it to the zinc plug or the inside of the wooden cylinder.
• Produce Bird Sounds — Hold the bird call firmly. Rotate the wooden cylinder against the cast zinc plug. Vary the pressure and speed of rotation to create different bird sounds, from chirps to calls.
• Attract Birds — Use the generated sounds strategically in natural environments to attract birds by simulating the presence of other birds. Listen for responses and observe the wildlife.
• Post-Use Care — After use, ensure the bird call is dry before storing. This prevents damage to the wood and maintains the integrity of the sound-making mechanism for future use.
