• Identify and Remove Old Filter — Locate your refrigerator's current water filter. For LG models, you may need to push and turn the old filter counter-clockwise to unlock and remove it. Note the model number for reference.
• Prepare and Install New Filter — Remove the protective cap from the new AQUA CREST LT1000PC filter. Align it with the filter housing and push it in firmly. Turn it clockwise until it locks into place. Ensure a snug fit to prevent leaks.
• Flush the System — Dispense and discard approximately 2-3 gallons of water from the refrigerator's dispenser. This process removes any air and loose carbon particles from the new filter, ensuring optimal water quality from the first use.
• Reset Filter Indicator — Press and hold the filter reset button (often labeled 'Filter Reset' or 'Water Filter') on your refrigerator's control panel for 3-5 seconds. This resets the filter indicator light and confirms the new filter is installed.
