What is the weight capacity of this sensory swing?

The Aokitec Sensory Swing has a maximum weight recommendation of 100 kg (220 lbs). It is crucial to ensure the swing is securely anchored to a stable support, such as a reinforced ceiling beam or a sturdy tree branch, and always use under adult supervision.

Can this hammock chair remain outdoors on an open balcony year-round?

While the nylon fabric is durable, it is best suited for indoor use or covered outdoor spaces like a shaded balcony. Prolonged exposure to direct rain and intense sunlight may degrade the nylon over time. For open balconies, consider bringing the swing indoors during monsoon season or periods of heavy weather.

What type of hardware is required to safely hang this hammock chair from a concrete ceiling?

For concrete ceilings, heavy-duty concrete expansion bolts or ceiling anchor plates rated for dynamic loads exceeding 100 kg are recommended. The included expansion screws are suitable for concrete, but ensure they are installed correctly into a solid part of the ceiling structure for maximum safety.

Is this swing suitable for children with autism or sensory processing disorder?

Yes, this therapy swing is specifically designed for children and teens with sensory processing disorder, autism, or ADHD. The soft nylon fabric and cocooning effect provide calming sensory input, aiding in body awareness, balance, and spatial skills.

Does the swing come with everything needed for installation?

Yes, the Aokitec Sensory Swing includes a comprehensive installation kit. This features a daisy chain, O-sling, carabiner, 360° swivel hanger, two expansion screws, and two self-tapping screws, making installation straightforward.

What are the dimensions of the swing fabric?

Its soft, silky nylon fabric creates a secure cocoon, helping to block out overwhelming external stimuli. This makes it particularly beneficial for children and teens managing sensory processing disorder, autism, or ADHD. The gentle pressure and rhythmic motion can promote a sense of calm, improve focus, and support the development of crucial motor planning and spatial awareness skills. Who It's For & Who Should Skip It

Ideal for children and adults seeking a calming sensory input, especially those with autism, SPD, or ADHD. Perfect for indoor playrooms, bedrooms, or covered outdoor spaces. Skip if you require a swing for very heavy-duty outdoor exposure without shade, as natural nylon may degrade over time with constant sun and rain. Also, ensure your mounting structure (ceiling beam or sturdy tree branch) can safely support the maximum weight capacity of 100 kg (220 lbs) and is properly anchored.

How to use

Select Mounting Point — Choose a sturdy overhead support like a reinforced ceiling beam or a strong tree branch. Ensure the point can safely hold at least 100 kg (220 lbs) dynamically. Use the included expansion screws for concrete or self-tapping screws for wood.
Install Hardware — Attach the chosen screws or anchor into the support. Then, connect the daisy chain to the screw/anchor. Adjust the daisy chain length to achieve the desired swing height.
Attach Swing — Connect the O-sling to the bottom of the daisy chain, then attach the carabiner to the O-sling. Finally, clip the carabiner to the swivel hanger, and attach the hanger to the top loop of the sensory swing.
Test and Use — Gently test the swing's stability and weight capacity before use. Ensure adult supervision when children are using the swing. Enjoy the calming, cocooning sensation.
