• Remove Old Parts — Carefully detach the old float valve and silicone cap from your Instant Pot lid. Ensure the lid is cool and depressurised. The float valve usually pushes out from the inside, and the cap can be gently pried off.
• Clean the Valve Area — Wipe the area around the float valve opening on the lid to remove any residue or debris. Ensure the opening is clean and dry before installing the new components for a proper seal.
• Install New Float Valve & Cap — Insert the new stainless steel float valve from the inside of the lid, ensuring it sits flush. Then, press the new food-grade silicone cap firmly onto the float valve from the outside until it is securely in place.
• Test for Fit and Function — Gently check that the new float valve moves freely and the silicone cap is securely attached. Close the lid and run a short steam cycle to confirm the valve is functioning correctly and sealing properly.
