How to choose keyboard switches for gaming and typing?

For gaming, tactile switches like the Akko V3 Creamy Blue Pro offer a balance of responsiveness and feedback. For typing, their smooth, creamy feel and satisfying tactile bump enhance comfort during long sessions. Consider your preference for actuation force (45gf here) and whether you prefer a clicky, tactile, or linear feel.

What is the difference between Akko V3 Creamy Blue Pro and other switches?

The Akko V3 Creamy Blue Pro switches stand out with their unique creamy tactile feel, 45gf actuation force, and enhanced stability from the 5-pin design and alloy copper/palladium gold contacts. They offer a smoother, more durable experience compared to many standard switches, with a lifespan of 60 million keystrokes.

Can I use these Akko V3 switches with any keycaps?

Yes, these switches feature a universal MX-style cross (+) stem, ensuring compatibility with the vast majority of aftermarket keycap sets. You can easily swap your existing keycaps or install new ones to customize your keyboard's look and feel.

Are these switches suitable for Indian keyboards or voltage?

These are keyboard switches, which are passive components and do not use or require specific voltage like a keyboard itself. They are compatible with standard mechanical keyboards used in India. For keyboard connectivity, ensure your keyboard uses a USB port, which is standard worldwide.

How to use Akko V3 Creamy Blue Pro switches?

To use these switches, carefully remove your old keyboard switches (if applicable) and insert the Akko V3 Creamy Blue Pro switches into the corresponding sockets on your mechanical keyboard PCB. Ensure the 5 pins align correctly. They are pre-lubed and ready for immediate use after installation.

What is the best keyboard for gaming in India?

The 'best' keyboard depends on personal preference, but for gaming, tactile switches like the Akko V3 Creamy Blue Pro offer a responsive feel. Look for features like durability (60 million keystrokes), compatibility with keycaps, and LED support for customization. These switches provide a premium feel for gaming setups.

Are keyboard switches healthy or safe to use?

Keyboard switches themselves are generally safe for use as they are passive components. The Akko V3 Creamy Blue Pro switches are designed for durability and a comfortable typing experience. Ensure proper installation to avoid damage to your keyboard or switches.

What are the benefits of using Akko V3 Creamy Blue Pro switches?

The benefits include a smooth, creamy tactile feel, enhanced stability from the 5-pin design, improved conductivity with alloy contacts, and a long lifespan of 60 million keystrokes. They also offer universal keycap compatibility and LED support for customization.

How to use

Prepare Your Keyboard — Ensure your mechanical keyboard is unplugged. If replacing existing switches, use a keycap puller to remove keycaps, then a switch puller to carefully remove the old switches from the PCB sockets.
Install Akko V3 Switches — Align the 5 pins of the Akko V3 Creamy Blue Pro switch with the corresponding holes on the keyboard's PCB. Gently press down until the switch is fully seated. For keyboards with 3-pin sockets, you may need to carefully clip the two plastic legs of the switch.
Attach Keycaps and Test — Once all switches are installed, press the keycaps onto the stems of the new switches. Plug your keyboard back into your computer and test all keys to ensure they are functioning correctly and the tactile feedback is as expected.
