• Material — The 8 inch backdraft damper is made of a Galvanized steel, the flap leaves are made of aluminum
• Installation — The backdraft damper is installed by pushing it into the ventilation pipe as far as it will go. The position of the spring should be horizontal when the flap is installed horizontally so that it can be opened and closed optimally. This also applies to the vertical installation
• Function — This airflow regulating backdraft shutter fits over the TD lip and is designed to improve ventilation by preventing air from re-circulating when the fans are not in use
• Wide Application — The backdraft dampers can be widely used in ACs, exhaust fans, extractors, range hoods, heating ducts, vents and other residential, commercial and industrial applications
• Note — Back draught valves can be inserted into ventilation ducts which are flexible or non flexible. Because the sizes are different backdraft damper can not be used with plastic ducts. All dimensions are measured manually, please allow 1-3mm differences

• Prepare the Duct — Identify the ventilation pipe where you need to install the damper. Ensure the pipe is clean and free of obstructions. Measure the inner diameter to confirm it is compatible with the 8-inch damper.
• Insert the Damper — Carefully push the Kikerike backdraft damper into the ventilation pipe. Insert it as far as it will go, ensuring a snug fit. The damper is designed for a push-fit installation.
• Orient for Optimal Function — Position the damper so the spring mechanism is horizontal. This orientation is crucial for the flap leaves to open and close optimally, whether you are installing the damper horizontally or vertically within the duct.
