• Prepare Surfaces — Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from oil, grease, and old sealant. For best adhesion, lightly abrade non-porous surfaces like fiberglass and metal. Apply 3M Marine Adhesive Remover if needed.
• Apply Sealant — Cut the cartridge nozzle to the desired bead size (approx. 3-5mm). Apply a continuous bead of sealant to one surface. For deck fittings, apply around the perimeter of the fitting.
• Assemble and Cure — Assemble parts within 15 minutes of application. Apply sufficient pressure to ensure good contact. Clean excess sealant immediately with a damp cloth. Tack-free in 1 hour, fully cures in 24 hours.
