• Prepare the Opening — Ensure the through-penetration or joint is clean, dry, and free of debris. Remove any loose material that could compromise adhesion. For larger openings, use appropriate backing materials as per the UL system listing.
• Apply the Sealant — Load the 10.1 fl oz (286 g) cartridge into a standard caulking gun. Apply the sealant evenly, ensuring it completely fills the gap or cavity around the penetrants. Work from the bottom up for vertical applications.
• Tool and Finish — Tool the sealant immediately after application to ensure good contact with all surfaces. The sealant is sag-resistant but can be smoothed with a damp tool. Allow to cure as per manufacturer guidelines before painting or re-entering the area.
