Achieve Professional Oil Painting Results
Winsor & Newton Refined Linseed Oil (75ml / 2.53 Fl Oz) is a premium oil painting medium, imported from authorized US retailers. It's the artist's choice for modifying oil paint properties. This refined oil is crucial for artists seeking to control drying times, enhance paint flow, and achieve greater transparency and gloss in their work. Unlike local alternatives that may offer inconsistent quality, this USA-sourced medium ensures reliable performance for professional and aspiring artists alike.
This refined linseed oil acts as a versatile medium. By adding it to other oil paints, artists can significantly slow down the drying process, allowing for longer working times and smoother blending. It also reduces the consistency of oil colors, making them easier to manipulate for techniques requiring thinner paint layers or washes. The oil increases the gloss and transparency of paints, enabling artists to create luminous glazes and achieve subtle color variations. Its liquid form and 75ml bottle size make it convenient for studio use.

The Artist's Choice for Oil Painting Control
Winsor & Newton Refined Linseed Oil is the standard for artists worldwide. Its refined formula offers unparalleled control over oil paint properties. It's not just about slowing drying; it's about achieving the perfect consistency for smooth blending, creating luminous glazes, and enhancing transparency. This medium is essential for artists who value precision and a professional finish in their oil paintings. Imported directly, it guarantees the quality and performance expected from a leading art brand, ensuring your creative vision is realized without compromise.
Ideal for Studio Artists, Less So for Quick Crafts
This refined linseed oil is perfect for oil painters working on canvases, wood panels, or paper who need to extend drying times, improve flow, and achieve a glossy finish. It’s ideal for detailed work, glazing techniques, and achieving smooth transitions. However, it is not suitable for quick craft projects requiring fast-drying paints like acrylics or tempera, nor is it recommended for use on fabric or surfaces not intended for oil-based media. For those seeking rapid drying or washable paints, alternative mediums would be more appropriate.
