• Gently remove one Vandoren JAVA reed from its protective flow pack. Moisten the tip of the reed with a drop of water or by placing it in your mouth for 1-2 minutes to allow it to soften and become pliable. — Prepare the Reed
• Carefully place the moistened reed onto the flat side of your alto saxophone mouthpiece. Ensure the reed is centered and aligned with the tip of the mouthpiece. Secure it firmly but gently with your ligature. — Attach to Mouthpiece
• Begin playing your alto saxophone. Adjust the ligature pressure slightly if needed to achieve optimal vibration and tone. If the sound is too airy or difficult to produce, the reed might be too hard; if it's too thin or unstable, it might be too soft. — Play and Adjust
• After playing, remove the reed and wipe off excess moisture. Store it in a reed case or a reed guard, ideally with a humidity control system, to maintain its condition and prolong its lifespan. — Store Properly
