Why choose this product

The Original Cinematic Diffusion

Invented by Tiffen over 30 years ago, the Black Pro-Mist is the industry standard for a reason. It delivers a signature highlight bloom and reduced contrast that digital cameras often lack. This filter provides a dreamlike, atmospheric glow, softening harsh digital sharpness and reducing the appearance of wrinkles and blemishes. Unlike other diffusion filters, it maintains crucial image detail, ensuring your subject remains clear. Imported directly from authorized US retailers, this filter offers authentic professional quality for Indian creators seeking that coveted cinematic film look.

Who It's For vs. Who Should Skip It

This filter is ideal for filmmakers, portrait photographers, and content creators in India who want to achieve a flattering, soft, and cinematic aesthetic. It's perfect for reducing digital harshness, softening skin imperfections, and creating a dreamy atmosphere in portraits, interviews, and stylized video shoots. Skip this filter if you require absolute sharpness and contrast for documentary or product photography where every detail must be crisp. Also, if you need a filter that significantly reduces light (like an ND filter), this is not the correct choice.

How to use

Confirm Lens Thread Size — Check your camera lens for a '⌀' symbol followed by '52mm'. This filter is specifically designed for lenses with a 52mm front filter thread. If your lens has a different size, you will need an adapter ring.
Attach the Filter — Gently screw the Tiffen 52mm Black Pro-Mist 2 filter onto the front of your lens. Ensure it threads smoothly to avoid cross-threading. The slim aluminum frame helps prevent vignetting, even on wider lenses.
Adjust the Effect — While looking through your camera's viewfinder or screen, rotate the outer ring of the filter. This adjusts the intensity of the diffusion effect, controlling the amount of highlight bloom and contrast reduction to achieve your desired cinematic look.
