Is this bento box leakproof enough for Indian gravies and curries?

This bento box features leakproof silicone lids and bands designed to secure food, making it suitable for many Indian dishes like dals and sabzis. However, the main compartments are not individually sealed for liquids. For very runny gravies, it's best to use the included condiment container for sauces or transfer them to a separate leakproof container.

Can I microwave and wash this bento box easily?

The Eversusely bento box is dishwasher safe for easy cleaning. However, the stainless steel base is NOT microwave-safe. You must remove the food from the stainless steel container and place it in a microwave-safe dish before heating. The silicone lids are also not microwave-safe.

How to choose a food storage container for Indian meals?

When choosing a food storage container for Indian meals, look for durable materials like stainless steel or BPA-free plastic. Ensure it has leakproof seals, especially for gravies. Compartment count and capacity (around 800ml for adults) are important. Check if it's dishwasher and freezer safe for convenience.

What is the best food storage container for travel?

For travel, the best food storage containers are lightweight, durable, and leakproof. Stainless steel bento boxes like this one are excellent as they resist damage and spills. Look for compact designs with secure lids and separate compartments for organizing different food items.

Are stainless steel bento boxes healthy?

Yes, stainless steel bento boxes are generally considered healthy. This Eversusely model uses food-grade 304 stainless steel and BPA-free silicone, which do not leach harmful chemicals into food. They are also durable, resistant to rust and stains, and do not retain odours, making them a safe choice for daily use.

Why choose this product

Engineered for Secure Meal Transport

This bento box utilizes premium 304 stainless steel, a material chosen for its superior durability and resistance to rust and stains, unlike many plastic alternatives. The design incorporates leakproof silicone lids and bands, crucial for securing gravies and dals common in Indian cuisine during transit. While individual compartments are not fully liquid-sealed, the dedicated condiment container ensures dressings and sauces remain contained. This focus on robust construction and secure sealing makes it a reliable choice for busy professionals and students in India.

Ideal for Balanced Indian Meals, Skip if Microwaving is Essential

This bento box is perfect for adults and older children who pack varied meals, including rotis, sabzis, salads, and dips, thanks to its three compartments and separate sauce container. Its 800ml capacity is suitable for a full meal. However, the stainless steel base is NOT microwave-safe, meaning food must be transferred to a microwaveable dish for heating. If daily microwaving of meals directly in the container is a priority, consider a BPA-free plastic or glass alternative.

How to use

Pack Your Meal — Distribute your food items into the three main compartments and the separate condiment container. Ensure lids are properly seated on both the main box and the condiment container.
Secure the Bento Box — Place the main bento lid and the condiment lid onto their respective containers. Wrap the silicone band around the entire bento box to ensure a snug and secure closure, preventing spills.
Cleaning and Maintenance — After use, wash the bento box and lids by hand or place them on the top rack of your dishwasher. Allow to air dry completely before storing to prevent moisture buildup.
