Will a rotary cutter damage this cutting mat?

These mats use a self-healing PVC surface designed for rotary blades, so cut lines close up and the surface stays smooth for repeated quilting and fabric cutting. Rotate the mat and vary cutting areas to keep wear even.

Does the mat show both inch and centimeter measurements?

The REALIKE 12x12 inch mats feature exact grid lines primarily in inches for precise placement. While they are designed for US-based Cricut machines, crafters in India can use these measurements for accurate cutting. For projects requiring metric measurements, ensure you convert or use a ruler alongside the grid.

How to use cutting mats for best results?

Apply your material firmly onto the mat's sticky surface, aligning it with the grid lines. After cutting, carefully remove the cut pieces. Always replace the transparent protective film immediately after use to keep the mat clean and preserve its adhesive quality for future projects.

What is the best cutting mat for crafts in India?

For crafts requiring a strong grip and precise cutting with machines like Cricut, REALIKE 12x12 inch StrongGrip mats are a good choice. They offer durability and a secure surface for various materials. Imported directly, they ensure quality for your creative projects, with all duties and GST included.

Can I use cutting mats daily for my projects?

Yes, REALIKE cutting mats are designed for repeated use. By following proper care instructions, such as keeping the protective film on when not in use and carefully removing cut pieces, you can maintain the mat's stickiness and integrity for daily crafting activities.

Cutting mat side effects for crafters?

There are no significant side effects associated with using REALIKE cutting mats. They are made from non-toxic PVC materials. Proper handling and storage are recommended to maintain the mat's performance and ensure a safe crafting environment.

Cutting mat benefits for sewing and quilting?

Cutting mats provide a self-healing surface that protects your work area and your tools, like rotary cutters. The grid lines offer precise measurement and alignment, crucial for accurate fabric cutting in sewing and quilting projects, leading to better finished garments and projects.

Engineered for Precision Crafting

REALIKE cutting mats are specifically designed to work seamlessly with Cricut machines, offering a superior adhesive and durable surface. Unlike generic mats, these are engineered for consistent performance, ensuring your intricate cuts are precise and materials are held securely. The non-toxic PVC construction guarantees safety and longevity, making them a reliable choice for both hobbyists and serious crafters. Imported directly from authorized US retailers and authorized brand partners, these mats offer the quality you expect for your creative projects.

Ideal for Heavyweight Materials & Cricut Users

These mats are best suited for users who work with heavyweight materials like thick cardstock, chipboard, and fabric with stiffener, especially those using Cricut Maker or Explore series machines. If you primarily cut thin paper or vinyl and prefer a lighter grip, or if your projects do not require precise alignment with grid lines, these strong grip mats might be overkill. For lighter materials, consider a standard grip mat.

How to use

Prepare Your Material — Select your material, such as thick cardstock or fabric with stiffener, and place it onto the REALIKE StrongGrip mat, aligning it carefully with the grid lines for precise positioning.
Cut with Your Machine — Load the mat with the material into your Cricut machine. Ensure the machine settings are appropriate for the material type and thickness for optimal cutting performance.
Remove Cut Pieces — After cutting, carefully remove the excess material from the mat. Use a scraper to gently lift away small pieces and a spatula to carefully peel off your cut design.
Protect the Mat — Immediately after use, cover the sticky surface with the original transparent protective film. This prevents dust and debris from accumulating, preserving the mat's adhesive strength for future projects.
