• Gently touch a wet brush to the DANIEL SMITH Lunar Black watercolor in the tube. Allow the pigment to rehydrate fully for about 30 seconds to achieve optimal consistency and color payoff. — Activate the Paint
• Apply the activated paint to your chosen surface, such as watercolor paper or pre-treated canvas. Use varying brush pressure and water amounts to control the pigment flow and texture development. — Apply to Surface
• As the paint begins to dry, observe the unique reticulating effect. You can gently drop more water or other colors into the damp wash to further enhance the marbled, moonscape texture. — Develop Texture
• Once dry, the Lunar Black wash will have a stony texture. You can successfully glaze over it with other watercolors or layer colors into the damp pigment for added depth and complexity. — Glaze and Layer
