Will these Guyker locking tuners fit my guitar in India?

These Guyker locking tuners are designed for guitars with modern 10mm headstock peg holes and a left-hand configuration. They are compatible with many electric, folk, and acoustic guitar styles. For optimal fit, measure your current tuner post hole diameter and confirm the 6-left configuration matches your guitar's headstock before ordering. All customs duties and GST are included in the price.

How do I install these locking tuning machines?

Installation is straightforward. Remove your old tuning pegs, then insert the new Guyker locking tuners into the 10mm headstock holes. Use the included threaded bushings and screws to secure them. Thread the guitar string through the post, tighten the locking nut on the tuner post, and then tune your guitar. This process ensures strings are locked in place for stable tuning.

What is the gear ratio and why is it important?

These tuners feature a 1:18 gear ratio. This means for every full turn of the tuning knob, the string post rotates 18 times. A higher ratio like 1:18 allows for much finer, smoother, and more precise adjustments to string tension, leading to significantly better tuning stability compared to lower ratios or non-locking tuners.

Are these tuners resistant to rust and corrosion in India's climate?

Yes, the Guyker locking tuners are made from durable zinc alloy with sealed die-cast housings. This construction makes them wear-resistant, anti-corrosive, and dust-proof, offering good protection against humidity and environmental factors common in many parts of India, ensuring longevity and consistent performance.

How do these compare to standard guitar tuners?

Guyker locking tuners offer superior tuning stability because they lock the string directly at the post, preventing slippage. They also simplify string changes. While standard tuners are functional, locking tuners provide a more professional and reliable tuning experience, especially important for active musicians in India.

Why choose this product

Superior Tuning Stability & Aesthetics

Guyker locking tuners are engineered for musicians who demand precision and style. The 1:18 gear ratio ensures incredibly stable tuning, minimizing the need for constant adjustments, which is crucial for performers in India's humid climate. Unlike standard tuners, these locking mechanisms secure the string directly at the post, preventing slippage. The unique Chameleon Rainbow finish adds a personalized, high-end look to your instrument, setting it apart from common alternatives. Imported directly, these tuners offer professional-grade performance and a distinctive aesthetic.

Who Should Upgrade & Who Should Consider Alternatives

These Guyker locking tuners are ideal for guitarists playing electric, folk, or acoustic guitars who seek improved tuning stability, easier string changes, and a unique visual upgrade. They are particularly beneficial for those experiencing tuning issues due to environmental factors like humidity. Players looking for a direct replacement for 10mm headstock holes with a left-hand configuration will find these a perfect fit. However, if your guitar has a non-standard headstock hole size or requires a right-hand tuner configuration, these specific tuners would not be suitable. Also, players prioritizing a purely vintage aesthetic might prefer traditional non-locking tuners.

How to use

Prepare for Installation — Remove existing tuning pegs from your guitar's headstock. Ensure the headstock holes are clean and measure approximately 10mm in diameter for a proper fit. Confirm you have the left-hand configuration (6L).
Mount the Tuners — Insert the Guyker locking tuners into the 10mm holes. Secure them using the provided threaded bushings and mount screws, ensuring they are firmly attached to the headstock.
Install and Lock Strings — Thread your guitar string through the tuner post and wrap it once around the post. Tighten the locking screw on the tuner post to secure the string. Tune the string to the desired pitch using the tuning knob.
Fine-Tune and Play — Once all strings are installed and locked, fine-tune each string to pitch. The locking mechanism and 1:18 gear ratio will ensure your guitar stays in tune accurately for extended playing sessions.
